Your Place to Experience Mexico
Casa Oasis is a peaceful, usually quiet location to enjoy our expansive gardens full of native semi-arid and subtropical plants. Located in the small traditional country village of Los Cedros. The village began as a Pueblo Hacienda (farm town) when the Hacienda was built here in 1550. Today the old Hacienda no longer functions as a farm but is now owned by the municipal government, which is planning to renovate and reopen the Hacienda to the public.
Our Casa is close to many of the area's points of interest and attractions. The Guadalajara International Airport is just 20 minutes away and we are only 15 minutes drive from Mexico's largest lake - Lake Chapala. Lake Chapala is a popular retirement community for foreigners, perhaps the largest in Mexico.

Casa Oasis is a sanctuary for Colibries (hummingbirds) and Mariposas Monarca (Monarch butterflies). You'll have the chance to see many Hummingbirds & Monarch butterflies. At the right time of year you can watch as caterpillars go from forming their chrysalis to their rebirth as Monarchs. Everyday our feeders (in front of Casitas Dos & Tres) are visited by many, many hummingbirds.

Colores de México!
At our Casa we chose to paint vibrant colours that are reflective of Mexico. Everywhere you go in Mexico you see colourful arts and handicrafts, buildings in various colours and a culture that itself is very colourful and rich. We have attempted with our Casa and your visit to capture that same vibe.
The main property is surrounded by an eight to ten foot wall and the adjoining fenced/gated property features fabulous gardens areas while also providing free secured parking area. Plus, we have three friendly dogs that provide additional security.
There is so much to see and do in the Guadalajara/Lake Chapala area, come visit for awhile in our little piece of Mexico.
